As part of #PAW24, the Singapore Institute of Directors led an insightful workshop on “Navigating Personal Data Protection and Data Breaches” to help equip participants with practical knowledge on addressing personal data protection and potential impact of data breaches on their organisations. Some key learnings shared include: 👩💻 The role a board plays in ensuring a good culture of accountability in managing personal data 💻 How to develop a data breach management plan, the C.A.R.E. framework, and the various steps that an organisation should take in the event of a data breach 📚 Key learnings from past data breach cases Through a simulation exercise, participants also got to run through data breach scenarios and discussed the key areas that board members should pay attention to during a data breach.
